Nutzo Tech 1 Expedition Bed Rack. Fully welded, all aluminum, expedition roof top tent (RTT) rack supports the largest RTT on the market. Made from 2” square aluminum tube with 1/8” wall thickness.  The fixed cross bars are made from 1 -5/8” square tube. Standard height is 19″ from the bed rail and a cab height version is also an option. Available for most mid size to heavy duty trucks.

The Nutzo Tech 1 Expedition Rack has the most modular configuration that we offer.  These racks have a universal bolt pattern that accepts, in any configuration, our NutShell Modular Storage Boxes and Universal Mounting Plates. The NutShell Modular Storage Boxes are available in a small, medium and large lengths.  The predrilled Universal Mounting Plates allow for mounting of Rotopax cans, Hi-Lift Jack, Maxtrax Pins, etc.

Depending on truck bed lengths, sometimes the rack will have 1 upright divider pole.  This will leave an opening upfront by the cab that will accept a small Nutshell Modular Storage Box or Universal Mounting Plate.  This will leave the back of the rack open to accept multiple small Nutshell boxes, a long Nutshell box, or Universal Mounting Plates.

The Nutzo Tech 1 Expedition Bed Rack Options and Modules:

• Finish Options – Black powdercoat ( standard)

• Lighting Options – The light package can be purchased as a Deluxe Package or a la carte.  The internally wired Deluxe light package includes: 1-10″ LED strip light DOT approved CHMSL brake light, 1- White/Amber cargo light, 2- Amber marker lights, 4- Red marker lights, 4- VisionX Dura M460 2.75” square LED flood lights.  All of our lights are wired with 12-14 gauge double sheathed marine grade wire and come standard with 5ft leads.  All of our crimp fittings are heat shrink fittings to keep out moisture.  For disconnects we use Weather Pack electrical connectors and Wago snap connectors.

• Hard Deck Option – Hard Deck HC, “HC for high clearance. Hard Deck HC for Tech 1 Expedition Bed Racks.  Heavy duty aluminum frame from 1″x 3″ tubing, extra tubing under spare tire location, set-up for 35″- 40” spare tire with mounting hardware. Aluminum “L” track for additional storage. Offers extreme security and maximum weather proofing.

• Coiling Cover Option – USA made aluminum powder coated, retractable, and lockable cover.  Requires modification to rack and has addition Coiling Cover prep fees. Coiling Cover is weatherproof.

• Removable Cross Bars –Removable Crossbars allow full access and versatility to the bed of your truck.  Each connector end has 2 Stainless Steel bolts with nylon lock nuts.

• Accessory Shelf – The accessory shelf is approximately 23″ wide and bolts onto the rack spanning the bed. This shelf sits behind cab, it is removable and includes tie down holes.

• Nutshell Storage Box – All aluminum storage boxes, fully welded and gasketed, offering extreme security and weather resistance. The boxes have a lockable compression latch and a gas strut to hold the door open. Coated in black mini textured powder coat.
  

  

  

  

  

  

  

• Awning Mount Brackets – Our racks have pre-drilled provisions on both sides of the rack to add our bolt on awning mounts. Two different offsets available for different RTT and awning configurations. Pre-drilled to accept most 270 syle awnings. Laser cut, CNC formed, Fully Welded Seams, made from 1/4″ aluminum and powder coated.

• Universal Mounting Plates – Mounting plates are 1/8″ thick aluminum and offered in a single width. Plates predrilled for mounting Rotopax.

• Lockable Traction Aid Storage Box –These offer quick access to your Maxtrax MKII traction boards.  These Storage Boxes are available to hold 2 or 4 traction boards.  Specifically designed for Maxtrax MKII brand only.  While on the trail you can secure the closer door with a carabiner or a small padlock.

• Tire Shelf Option – Designed to accommodate a tire up to 40″ and still provide extra space for storing gear. The Tire Shelf sits above the optional tonneau cover and does not affect its operation. With (4) spring loaded pins, the Tire Shelf can easily be removed or release the (2) back pins to easily load the spare tire. The Tire Shelf comes with (2) 2″/2500lbs straps to secure the spare tire. An accessory rail added to the Tire Shelf to mount Rotopax, Maxtrax, Hi-lift Jack etc is optional. Please note, a Tire Shelf cannot be used with Nutshell boxes or UMP plates.
