Description

NutShell XL Truck Cap for Gladiator is a hybrid style expedition canopy, full height, fully welded, all aluminum with fixed bulkhead, rear flip up door, (2) gull-winged hinged side doors and (1) Switchable Amber/White LED strip light at the rear and 10″ third brake light. Windows are an option on the bulkhead and rear flip up door. Measuring out at 21.5″ tall. The NutShell XL bolts to the truck using factory mounting holes and requires no modification to the vehicle.

 

The Nutshell XL Truck Cap for Gladiator Options:

• Finish Options – Powder coated black mini texture (Standard)

• Lighting Options – The cap comes standard with (1) Switchable Amber/White LED strip light at the rear, and (1) 10″ third brake light. We offer additional lighting with The Deluxe Package or a-la-carte.  The internally wired Deluxe light package includes: 2- Amber marker lights, 4- Red marker lights and 2- Baja Designs S1 amber LED flood lights.  All lights are wired with 12-16 gauge double sheathed marine grade wire and come standard with 5ft leads.  All of the crimp fittings are heat shrink fittings to keep out moisture.  For disconnects we use Weather Pack electrical connectors and snap connectors.

• Awning Mount Brackets – These awning brackets attach to our Roof Rack System for 2 crossbars or 3 crossbars options. The awning brackets work with most straight pull, 180 degree and 270 degree awning brands.  All of our Awning brackets are Laser cut, CNC formed, Fully Welded Seams, made from 1/4″ aluminum, and powder coated to match the racks.

• Lockable Traction Aid Storage Box –These offer quick access to your Maxtrax MKII traction boards.  These Storage Boxes are available to hold 2 or 4 traction boards.  Specifically designed for Maxtrax MKII brand only.  While on the trail you can secure the closer door with a carabiner or a small padlock.

• Pull out Camp Table –Quickly stow and deploy camp tables from our ceiling mounts.  Available in single or double table configurations

• Molle Accessories Easily attach Molle attachment accessories to the interior panels of the Nutshell XL.

 

• RTT or Storage Mounts – The option for either a (2) crossbars or (3) crossbars system to mount an RTT or accessories on top of the Nutshell XL.  When paired with the Nutshell XL, an extended length RTT or accessories will clear the cab of the truck. Standard width of the crossbars is 52 inches.  The crossbars system is 3 1/2 inches and makes the overall height of the cap with the crossbars 24.5″ tall.
