Nutzo Tech 1 Expedition Bed Rack a fully welded, all aluminum, expedition roof top tent (RTT) rack. The Tech 1 Rack uprights have 2” square aluminum tube with 1/8” wall thickness then unitized with 1/4” thick aluminum angle running the entire length of the bed. 5 welded crossbars made from 2” square tube are standard, however removable crossbars are available for an additional charge. Furthermore available in 19″ standard height and cab height version. These expedition racks bolt to the truck using factory mounting holes thus require no modification to the vehicle.

Additionally, the rack has a universal bolt pattern that accepts, in any configuration, Nutshell Storage Boxes and Universal Mounting Plates. The pre-drilled Universal Mounting Plates provide mounting for Rotopax, Hi-Lift Jack, Maxtrax, etc. The rack may have 1 upright divider pole providing a small opening at the cab therefore accepts a small Nutshell Storage Box or Universal Mounting Plate this will ultimately depend on the bed length. Likewise, the back of the rack accepts a large Nutshell box, or Universal Mounting Plates.

The Nutzo Tech 1 Expedition Bed Rack Options:

• Lighting – We offer the Deluxe Light Package or a-la-carte.  The internally wired Deluxe Light Package includes: 2- Amber marker lights, 4- Red marker lights and 2- Baja Designs S1 amber LED flood lights. Wired with double sheathed marine grade wire and come standard with 5ft leads.  Furthermore all crimp fittings are heat shrink fittings to keep out moisture. Weather Pack electrical connectors and snap connectors also used. However, switches wired into the rack are optional and an additional charge.

• Hard Deck –  Heavy duty aluminum frame from 1″x 3″ tubing, extra tubing under spare tire location ultimately offering extreme security and maximum weather proofing. Safely secure the largest of tire/ wheel combos and accessories. Aluminum “L” track for additional storage.

• Coiling Cover – USA made aluminum powder coated, retractable and lockable tonneau cover. Modification to the rack is required therefore an additional Coiling Cover Prep Fee is added. Other brands of tonneau covers are not compatible. 

• Removable Crossbars –Fixed crossbars come standard. However, optional Removable Crossbars are available and allow full access to your truck bed without having to remove the entire rack. Unbolt one or all of them for full accessibility. Each connector end has 2 Stainless Steel bolts with nylon lock nuts.

• Accessory Shelf – Approximately 23″ wide and bolts onto the rack spanning the bed. This shelf sits behind cab, removable and includes tie down holes.

• Nutshell Storage Box – Aluminum, fully welded and gasketed as a result offers extreme security and weather resistance.  The box has lockable compression latches and gas struts to hold the door open. Furthermore exterior coated with a mini textured powder coat. The box dimension is 52″ Wide, 14″ Tall, 13″ Deep.
  

  

  

  

  

  

  

• Awning Mount Brackets – The awning brackets work with most straight pull, 180 degree and 270 degree awning brands. Laser cut, CNC formed, Fully Welded Seams, made from 1/4″ aluminum. Powder coated to match the rack.

• Universal Mounting Plates – 1/8″ thick aluminum and offered in a single width. Plates pre-drilled for mounting Rotopax. However (2) UMP’s are needed for mounting traction aids.

• Traction Aid Storage Box –This offers quick access to your Maxtrax MKII traction boards. Specifically designed for 2 and 4 Maxtrax MKII brand traction boards only.  Additionally, the box is lockable and the door secured with a carabiner or a small padlock.

• Tire Shelf – Designed to accommodate a tire up to 40″ yet still provides extra space for storing gear. The Tire Shelf sits above the optional tonneau cover and does not affect its operation. Easily remove the tire shelf with (4) spring loaded pins. The Tire Shelf comes with (2) 2″/2500 lbs straps to secure the spare tire. Finally an optional accessory rail on the Tire Shelf provides places to mount Rotopax, Maxtrax, Hi-lift Jack etc. Please note, the Tire Shelf cannot be used with Nutshell Boxes or UMP plates.
